Yes — completely. No ads, no subscriptions, and you don't need an account. Browsing stores, the map, the weather and reporting stock all work anonymously.
Neighbors report what they see at a store — in stock, low, or sold out — and every report is timestamped so you can judge how fresh it is. At gas stations people can also report the current price, and you can sort by cheapest.
Tornado, severe thunderstorm and flash flood alerts come straight from the National Weather Service, with the official warning area drawn on the map. The hurricane cone and track come from the National Hurricane Center, and open shelters come from FEMA.
Not yet — StormStock is an iPhone and iPad app and needs iOS 15.1 or later. An Android version may follow if enough people ask for it.
Weather alerts and shelters work anywhere in the United States. The neighbor-reported supply and gas price data is most useful in Central Florida, where the community is biggest — it gets better as more people nearby use it.
